The reunion committee met last night and after a thorough lambasting of the tightwads who have yet to send their $40 (were your ears burning?) moved on to other things you need to know before attending.
“Dressy Casual” I’ve never heard of such a thing; I think Barb made it up. What it means is “Don’t come to Woodstock dressed like you’re fresh off the Appalachian Trail or at a Jay-Z concert.”
This would be considered inappropriate attire…
…but don’t let the dress code keep you away!
Rooms are going fast at the Staybridge Suites in downtown Indy.
Darrell Pike has used his considerable influence to arrange for some great room rates; if you’re thinking about staying downtown I’d recommend making a reservation ASAP. Call them at 317 536-7500.(Insiders note; I’ve heard that a couple of local women are joining a couple of out-of-towners in adjoining suites for what could turn out to be a wild and crazy babe-fest!)
Staybridge Suites, 535 S West St.
There will be an informal get-together Friday evening at George’s Neighborhood Grill, 6935 Lake Plaza Dr. It’s 2 stoplights south of 465 on Binford Blvd., just south of the Castleton area. Festivities will commence at 7:30 pm and end when you’re ready to leave (9:30?). There will be no dress code so feel free to come as you are.
Finally, you’ll find Woodstock where it’s been since you graduated from NC, at 1302 W. 38th St. It’s across from the Indianapolis Museum of Art, which you’ll find most impressive if you haven’t seen it for a while.
